First Race Is Almost Here!

Jan 09

Are You Ready to Lace Up?

Hey there, fellow R4M members! We're getting ready to put on our running shoes. I'm hoping you'll join me on this adventure. I'm about to embark on the first race of my journey, and I couldn't be more excited (and slightly nervous). It's time to conquer the Jekyll Island Half Marathon in beautiful Jekyll Island, GA!

What's the Buzz About Jekyll Island Half Marathon?

Picture this: a stunning island backdrop, palm trees swaying in the breeze, and the sound of waves crashing on the shore. Now add in the thrill of a half marathon, and you've got yourself a recipe for an unforgettable experience. The Jekyll Island Half Marathon is not just any race; it's our KICKOFF race and a chance to push our limits and achieve something extraordinary.

Get Your Running Shoes Ready!

I know what you're thinking... "I'm not a runner!" This race and this year is all about connecting with others, having fun, and embracing the joy of running. Whether you're a seasoned marathoner or a newbie to the running scene, the Jekyll Island Half Marathon welcomes runners of all levels who we are excited to running alongside.

If you're not able to join us in Jekyll, dust off those running shoes, stretch those muscles, and get ready to hit the pavement. There are more opportunities to come run or support!

Join Me on this Exciting Journey

As I prepare to tackle the Jekyll Island Half Marathon, I'm inviting you to join me on this journey. Together, we'll conquer 12 races in 2024, pushing our limits, and embracing the thrill of the run. It won't always be easy, but I promise you, it'll be worth it.  I am excited to have two of my longtime friends join me for this first race and look forward to connecting with many others throughout the year.

So, mark your calendars, gather your running buddies, and let's make 2024 a year to remember. The first race is just the beginning, and I can't wait to see what lies ahead. Get ready to run, laugh, and celebrate the joy of crossing that finish line. The adventure starts now!
